Play Lemming Game Online
Lemmings is a classic puzzle-platformer video game first released in 1991, developed by DMA Design (which later became Rockstar North). The game is renowned for its unique gameplay, quirky characters, and challenging puzzles. In Lemmings, players must guide a group of small, green-haired creatures called "lemmings" to safety, avoiding various obstacles and hazards along the way.The premise of the game is simple but requires careful planning and strategic thinking. Lemmings walk forward automatically and often mindlessly fall into traps like pits, water, or spikes unless the player intervenes. The challenge lies in directing these creatures to a safe exit by assigning them specific roles, such as building bridges, digging tunnels, or blocking their paths. Each level presents different environmental obstacles, and the player must save a minimum number of lemmings to progress to the next stage.
Instructions
Objective: Guide a group of lemmings to the exit by assigning them specific skills. Save at least the required number of lemmings to proceed to the next level.
Movement: Lemmings walk forward automatically. They will continue walking until they encounter an obstacle (e.g., a wall, pit, or edge).
Assigning Skills: Click on a lemming to assign it one of the following skills. Each skill has a specific effect:
- Builder: Builds a bridge to cross gaps.
- Digger: Digs down through solid ground.
- Climber: Allows the lemming to climb walls.
- Basher: Breaks through horizontal barriers.
- Blocker: Stops other lemmings by blocking their path.
- Floater: Prevents fall damage from high drops.
- Miner: Digs at an angle (used to dig down diagonally).
- Swimmer: Allows the lemming to cross water.
Using Skills: Click the skill icon, then click on the lemming you wish to assign the skill to. The skill will activate immediately, and the lemming will perform the action.
Timing: Carefully time when and where to assign skills, as lemmings will continue moving unless blocked or stopped by a specific action.
Creating Safe Paths: Use skills strategically to create safe paths and prevent lemmings from falling into traps or getting stuck.
Saving Lemmings: Ensure that a minimum number of lemmings reach the exit. If too many lemmings die or fail to reach safety, the level will be failed.
Level Completion: Once the required number of lemmings reach the exit, the level is complete, and you can move on to the next.
Tips:
- Use Blockers early to control the flow of lemmings.
- Plan ahead; some lemmings might need multiple skills to reach safety.
- Don't waste skills; be strategic about which lemmings get what abilities.
Good luck, and save those lemmings!
